If ab2=0 and a3b36ab=k then find the value of k.

Given, ab2=0......(1) and a3b36ab=k.....(2).
From (1) we get,
ab=2
Cubing both sides we get,
a3b33ab(ab)=23
or, a3b36ab=8 [ Since ab=2]
Comparing this with (2) we get, k=8.
