If A:B=3:4 and B:C=8:9, then find A:C.

We have,

A:B=3:4

AB=34......(1)

On multiplying by 8 in equation ( 1)

AB=3×84×8=2432 …… ( 2)

So,

BC=89......(3)

On multiplying by 4 in equation ( 3)

BC=8×49×4=3236......(4)

From equation ( 2) and ( 4) to, and we get,

AC=2436=23

A:C=2:3

Hence, this is the answer.
