If a : b = 5 : 6 and b : c = 3 : 4 , find a : b : c
5 : 6 : 8
When we multiply both the terms of the ratio by the common number ,the ratio remains the same
Hence multiply both the ratio in such a way that the common term acquires the same value
In this case b is the common term and LCM of 6 and 3 is 6
Hence we have a : b = 5 : 6 ( Multiplying both the terms by 1)
b : c = 3 :4 = 6 : 8 ( Multiplying both the terms by 2)
∴ a : b : c = 5 : 6 : 8
