Solution

Find the ratio (5a+4b+15):(5a4b+3)

Given :(ab) : (a+b)=1:11
aba+b=111
11(ab)=(a+b)1 [Cross-multiplication]
11a11b=a+b
11aa=11b+b
10a=12b
ab=1210
=65
Let a=6k and b=5k
Now, (5a+4b+15):(5a4b+3)=5a+4b+155a4b+3
=5×6k+4×5k+155×6k4×5k+3
=30k+20k+1530k20k+3
=50k+1510k+3
=5(10k+3)10k+3
=51

Hence, the ratio of (5a+4b+15):(5a4b+3) is5:1
