The correct option is A 40

A(0,2),B(0,0),C(4,0)

Area of triangle =12b×h

4=12b×h

8=b×h

8=AB×BC

Assume AB=2,BC=4

AB=02+22=2

BC=42+02=4

AC=42+22=20

BD=42+22=20

AD=42+02=4

DC=02+22=2

|AB×CD+BC×AD+CA×BD|

=|2×2+4×4+20×20|

=|4+16+20|

=40 units.
