If a body is falling from the top of a building, the direction of motion and the direction of acceleration is the same. So will the will it be acceleration or retardation?

If the diection of motion is known then the direction of acceleration tells us whether it is retardation or acceleration. If the acceleration is in the direction of motion then it is acceleration otherwise if it is opposite to the direction of motion then it is retardation.

So in this case we can see that direction of motion and the direction of acceleration is same, we can say that it will be accelerating.
