If H be the total height body falls from rest, total time to fall is t=2Hg
It is given that the body falls H2 distance in time (t1), thus we have t1=2(H/2)g

From above equations,
2HgHg=1
Hg(21)=1
Hg=(2+1)
Total time of fall is t=2Hg=(2+2)=3.4 s
