Question

If a bottle weighs 30 g when filled with a liquid and 48 g when filled with water, how to calculate the density of liquid if density of water at 4 degrees is 1000kg/m3

Open in App
Solution

mass of bottle =30g
mass of liquid =53.3-30 =23.3g
mass of water =48-30=18g=0.01kg
first calculate volume
density =mass/volume
we know mass of water, density of water
volume =mass/density =0.0181000=18×106m3
now we find the density of liquid
density 23.3×10318×106=1294.4kg/m3
