If a circle and a square have the same perimeter, then
Area of circle is larger
∴ 2πr=4a⇒a=πr2
∴ Area of square ⇒ a2=π2 r24 and area of circle=π r2
∴ Area of circleArea of square=π r2π2r2/4=4π>1.
Thus, area of circle is larger than area of square.
