As we know, a circle is curved, so it is not a polygon. Let us draw polygons with increasing number of sides and see what we get.
If we draw a polygon with 10 sides, it will look like this:
A polygon with 20 sides would look like:
It looks almost like a circle, but it is still made of line segments.
A polygon with 100 sides would look like:
This is very similar to the structure of a circle, but, as you can see, it still has vertices and sides.
So, any polygon with a definite number of sides will have vertices and line segments. As we keep on increasing the number of sides, the polygon's resemblance to a circle will also increase. However, as long as the figure is a polygon with a fixed number of sides, it cannot be a circle.
Therefore, a circle can be considered as a polygon with infinite sides.
