If a concentric hemisphere of half radius is removed from a hemispher of radius R then final solid is hollow hemispherical.

TSA of hollow hemisphere =π (3R2+r2) =π (3R2+(R2)2) =134π R2

CSA of removed hemisphere =2πr2 =2π(R2)2=2π(R24)

TSA of hollow hemisphere CSA of removed hemisphere =134π R22π(R24)=132 =6.5
