Given that the cylinder and the sphere have the same radii and height.

Let r and h be the radius and height of both the cylinder and sphere respectively.
Now, height of the sphere = 2r
h=2r
∴ Ratio of their volumes = Volume of cylinder : Volume of sphere
=πr2h:43πr3
=πr2×2r:43πr3
=2:43
= 3 : 2
Hence, the correct answer is option (b).
