Given: In 6 days, 2 fields are ploughed.

We know that the number of fields ploughed will be more if the farmer works for more days.

So, Number of days(x) Number of fields ploughed(y)

x1y1 = x2y2

Here,
x1 = 6 days
y1 = 2 fields
x2 = 12 days
y2 = number of fields ploughed in 12 days

62 = 12y2

y2 = 12 × 26 = 4 fields

So, 4 fields can be ploughed in 12 days.
