Given: In 6 days, 2 fields are ploughed. ​

We know that the number of fields ploughed will be more if the farmer works for more days. ​

So, Number of days is directly proportional to Number of fields ploughed​

Let number of days be ‘n’ and number of fields ploughed be ‘f’​

Then, n is directly proportional to f​

n1f1=n2f2

Here,​

n1=6 days​

f1=2 fields​

n2=15 days​

f2= number of fields ploughed in 12 days ​

62=15f2

f2=(15×2)6=5 fields​

So, 5 fields can be ploughed in 15 days.​
