Acceleration due to gravity near the surface of earth depends only on the mass and the radius of Earth. It does not depend on the mass of the body taken into consideration. So, both coin and hammer undergo the same acceleration equal to $9.8m{s}^{-2}$.
According to equation of motion,
$s=ut+\frac{1}{2}a{t}^2$
Since the initial speed, acceleration and distance travelled is the same for both, both will take the same time.
