Solution

The correct option is A i
Given,

a=i+j+k

let b=xi+yj+zk

ab=1

(i+j+k)(xi+yj+zk)=1

x+y+z=1.......(1)

now,

a×b=jk

(i+j+k)×(xi+yj+zk)=jk

k(yx)+j(z+x)+i(zy)=jk

yx=1,z+x=1,zy=0.......(2)

From (1) and (2), we get,

x=1,y=0=z

b=i
