(ii) (A×B)(C×D)(AC)×(BD)

Open in App
Solution

A×B={(1,1),(1,2),(1,3),(2,1),(2,2),(2,3)}
C×D={(1,2),(1,4),(1,7),(5,2),(5,4),(5,7),(7,2),(7,4),(7,7)}
(i)
(A×B)(C×D)={(1,2)} ......(1)

AC={1}
BD={2}
(AC)×(BD)={(1,2)} ...(2)

from (1) and (2)
(AB)×(CD)=(AC)×(BD)

(ii)(A×B)(C×D)={(1,1),(1,2),(1,3),(1,4),(1,7),(2,1),(2,2),(2,3),(5,2),(5,4),(5,7),(7,2),(7,4),(7,7)}

(AC)={1,2,5,7}
(BD)={1,2,3,4,7}

(AC)×(BD)={(1,1),(1,2),(1,3),(1,4),(1,7),(2,1),(2,2),(2,3),(2,4),(2,7),(5,1),(5,2),(5,3),(5,4),(5,7),(7,1),(7,2),(7,3),(7,4),(7,7)}

(A×B)(C×D)(AC)×(BD)
