The correct option is B 1
We know that direction cosines are cosα,cosβ,cosγ
Then sum of the squares of the direction cosine is 1
i.e.cos2α+cos2β+cos2γ=1
we know Trignometric identity that sin2A+cos2A=1
From the above identity we can write as cos2A=1sin2A
Now replacing we get (1sin2α)+(1sin2β)+(1sin2γ)
By adding all we get 3(sin2α+sin2β+sin2γ)=1
cos2α+cos2β+cos2γ=23=1
