So, cosα,cosβ,cosγ will be the direction cosines of the line.
And we know that the sum of squares of the direction cosines of any line is 1.
Now,
1+cos2α+cos2β+cos2γ
=1+(2cos2α1)+(2cos2β1)+(2cos2γ1)
=1+2(cos2α+cos2β+cos2γ)3
=1+23=0
Hence, B is correct.
