Open in App
Solution

Let usual speed =x

time t1=3x [when he walks in usual speed]

when he walks 1 km/h as for

t2=3x+1

given that

t1t2=15min=1560hr

3x3x+1=1560=14

3[1x1x+1]=14

12[x+1xx(x+1)]=1

x2+x12=0

x2+4x3x12=0

x(x+4)3(x+4)=0

x=3,4

x cant be negative hence x=3
