Solution

The correct option is A 1032 days
Time period of revolution of a planet revolving around the sun of mass M, is given by,

T=2πr3GM

T2r3

T21T22=r31r32

T22=(r2r1)3T21

Initial time period,

T1=1 year=365 days.

As per equation, new orbital radius r2=2r1

T22=(2r1r1)3×365

T2=8×365

T2=1032 days

Hence, option (A) is the correct answer.
