if a person can't see beyond 5m and before 50 cm what defect of vision is he suffering from

Dear Student ,

This person is suffering from Presbyopia as he cannot see objects before 50cm. This is a disorder which comes on with age.It occurs due to gradual thickening and loss of flexibility of the natural lens inside our eyes.The ciliary muscles become weak and hence ability of accomodation of lens is lost.
