Question

If a person is blindfolded and handed two objects, how can that person find out if the objects are solid or liquid?

Solution

It is possible to find out the state of objects by touching. Solids have a definite shape and a definite volume. They have a tendency to maintain their shape even when an external force is applied.
Liquids have a definite volume, but no definite shape. They take the shape of the container in which they are kept.
