Solution

Instructions:
  • Uneven distribution of temperature
  • Define land and water relationship
Solution:

All the places on the earth’s surface do not have the same
climatic conditions. Factors that are responsible for the uneven distribution.
of the temperature are:
  1. Latitudinal location poles.
  2. Maritime and continental location: Sea has a moderating effect on coastal areas, hence a place has moderate temperatures the closer it is to the sea and temperatures become extremely hot and extremely cold as we go away from the sea.
Places near water bodies experience moderate temperature.
Places near water bodies experience moderate temperatures.
This is because of the sea breeze and land breeze. Sea breeze reduces the temperature during the day time and land breeze moderates the temperature during the night time.
For example, Panaji experiences moderate temperatures, and
New Delhi experiences extreme temperatures.
The places closer to oceans and sea during the day is neither too hot nor too cold (moderate temperature) whereas, the places far from oceans and sea are extremely hot or cold (extreme temperature).
