Question
If a pole of height 6 m casts a shadow 2√3 m long on the ground, then the sun's elevation is?
Open in App
Solution
Let height = 6m
length of shadow = 2√3 m
x is angle of elevation
Therefore
Tanx = height/shadow length
= 6/2√3=√3
Then x = π/3
Angle of elevation is = 60°
