The correct option is C area = 8π m2
A semicircle is a half circle, formed by cutting a whole circle along a diameter line.

Step 1: From the above figure, the circumference of a semicircle
=diameter + half of the circumference of a circle =d+2πr2
=2r+πr (d=2r)

Step 2: Given, the circumference of the semicircle is (8+4π) m.

2r+πr=8+4π
Taking r and 4 common from L.H.S. and R.H.S. respectively
r(2+π)=4(2+π)
Cancel out (2+π) from both sides
r=4 m

Step 3: Now, area of the semicircle =12× Area of a circle
=12×πr2
=12×π×42
=12×π×16
=8π m2

Hence, options (b.) and (c.) are correct choices.
