If a semicircle with 'AB' as diameter and having a radius of 5 cm is drawn as shown in below figure then the coordinates of B is

Given coordinates of A=(-7,0) and radius of semicircle =5 cm. From the figure, we can see that B lies an X-axis.
∴ Let point B =(x,0)
∵ length of diameter 2× Radius of circle
∴ Distance between A and B =2×5
⇒√(x−(−7))2=10
⇒(x+7)2=102
⇒x+7=±10
⇒x+7=10 (or) x+7=10
⇒x=3 (or) x =-17
∴B=(3,0) (or) (-17,0)
From the figure we can see that x-coordinates of B is positive.
∴B=(3,0)
