Solution
The correct option is A Regeneration
The Starfish or Sea Stars (viz. Asterias, Linckia, Asterina, etc.) are free-living marine Echinoderm animals. They are found in sandy or muddy sea bottoms, or over the rocks, and shells. Some species of Sea Stars have a great power of Regeneration. By this method, they can re-grow an amputated limb or some other body parts. When any arm of a Starfish gets injured, the animal casts off its own arm - a process called Autotomy. Then by the process of Regeneration, the Starfish can re-grow a completely new perfect arm in the place of the injured one. Even, in some Sea Star (viz. Linckia), an arm can even regenerate a complete animal.
