The correct option is C 180°
Consider two parallel lines AB and CD such that transversal PQ intersects AB and CD at points M and N respectively.


∴ ∠AMN = ∠MND (Alternate interior angles) …..(i)
Also, ∠CNM + ∠MND = 180° (Linear pair)
⇒ ∠CNM + ∠AMN = 180° [From (i)]
Thus, the sum of interior angles which lie on the same side of the transversal is 180°.
Hence, the correct answer is option (c).
