Step 1: Use direction cosines equation
If cosα,cosβ and cosγ be the direction cosines of a vector, then
cos2α+cos2β+cos2γ=1 ....(1)

Step 2: Solving equation
We know,
sin2θ+cos2θ=1

cos2α+sin2α+cos2β+sin2β+sin2γ+cos2γ=1+1+1

From eqn (1)
sin2α+sin2β+sin2γ+1=3

sin2α+sin2β+sin2γ=2

Hence, option C is correct.
