Question

If a water capacity of a medical cylinder is 10.7 litres , what will be its oxygen capacity?

Open in App
Solution

It's storage capacity for Oxygen will also be 10.7 liters as the volume of the cylinder is fixed, and does not depend on what is stored inside it. However, what is interesting is that the 'amount' of Oxygen it can store in terms of weight is not fixed, as gasses do not have a fixed density, in other words you can force more Oxygen into the cylinder by applying pressure!
