Applying componendo, we get

4a+3b3b=8+994a+3b3b=179
(ii)
ab=23a2b2=49 Squaring both sides5a22b2=5×42×95a22b2=2018
Applying componendo and dividendo, we get

5a2+2b25a2-2b2=20+1820-185a2+2b25a2-2b2=3825a2+2b25a2-2b2=19
(iii)
ab=23a3b3=827 Cubing both sides
Applying componendo, we get

a3+b3b3=8+2727a3+b3b3=3527
(iv)

Applying invertendo, we get

ba=32 7b4a=7×34×2=218
Applying componendo and dividendo, we get
