$AC$ is the diameter because angle inscribed in semi-circle is a right a angle

Thus by pythagorean theorem, we have

$A{C}^2=A{B}^2+B{C}^2=8^2+6^2=100$

$\therefore AC=10=d=2r$

Thus,

$r=5cm$
