Given: ABCD is a kite.
In a kite two pairs of adjacent sides are equal.
$\therefore$ AB = AD and BC = CD

i) AB = AD
$\Rightarrow 15=4x+3$
$\Rightarrow 4x=15-3=12$
$\Rightarrow 4x=12\Rightarrow x=\frac{12}{4}=3$

ii) BC = CD
$\Rightarrow 11=6y+5\Rightarrow 6y=11-5=6\Rightarrow 6y=6\Rightarrow y=\frac{6}{6}=1$

Hence the value of x is 3 and y is 1.
