Here, we have to add the number of slices that are taken by Alex from each plate.
Given that, Alex eats $\frac{3}{4}$ th pizza from plate 1, $\frac{7}{8}$ th pizza from plate 2, and $\frac{6}{16}$ th pizza from plate 3.

L.C.M of 4,8,16 is 16.
Now, $\frac{3}{4}$ + $\frac{7}{8}$ + $\frac{6}{16}$
= $\frac{12 + 14 + 6}{16}$
= $\frac{32}{16}$
= 2

Alex will eat two pizzas in total. Hence, he will get pass round 1.
