We have,
acos2θ+bsin2θ=c.............(i)

and we know that, sin2θ=2tanθ1+tan2θcos2θ=1tan2θ1+tan2θ

a1tan2θ1+tan2θ+b2tanθ1+tan2θ=ctan2θ(c+a)2btanθ+ca=0.............(ii)

\sin ce, Equation (i) has roots α,β
so, Equation (ii) has roots tanα,tanβ

Hence, tanα+tanβ=2bc+atanαtanβ=cac+a

tan(α+β)=2bc+a1(cac+a)=2b2a=ba
