{x2+6xλ=0}
α & β are roots of this eqn
α+β=61...(1)αβ=λ
and 3α+2β=20...(2)
3(α+β)=6×3...(3) (Multiplying (1) × 3)
on subtracting (2) & (3), we get
3α+2β=20
3α+3β=18
_______________
β=2 ,
β=2
α=6β=6(2)=6+2
=4
α=4
λ=αβ
=(4)(2)=8
λ=8 option D is correct.
