Given: α,β are the zeroes of x26x+k and also 3α+2β=20
To find the value of k
According to the question, 3α+2β=20 ........ (i)
From the given quadratic equation:
α+β=6 .......... (ii)
and αβ=k .......... (iii)
Multiply equation (ii) by 2 and subtract from (i) to get:
α=2012=8
Substitute this value in equation (ii) to get:
β=68=2
Substitute these in equation (iii) to get:
αβ=k(8)(2)=kk=16
