Question

If an angle of 60° is cut from a half folded square piece of paper, specify the cut out obtained when the paper is unfolded.

Open in App
Solution

On unfolding, the 60° angle is reflected on the other half of the paper as well. Also when two angles meet end to end, they form a triangle. Since the folded crease is the line of symmetry, and the apex angle on the half is 30°
Therefore, the overall figure is a triangle of angles 60°each, also called an equilateral triangle.
