Question

If an engine supply 100J of energy to a weight of 200g. How high it can be lifted?

Open in App
Solution

Find the height:

Given data:

Work done,W=100J

Mass, m=200g

m=0.2kg 1kg=100g

Acceleration due to gravity, g=9.8ms-2

The work done formula is

Workdone=Force(F)×displacement(s)

Where, F=mg and s=h

W=m×g×h

Substitute the values

100=0.2×9.8×h

h=1001.96

h=51.02m

The engine supply with an energy supply 100J can lift the weight 200g to a height of 51.02m
