Solution

Dear Student, The solution of CuSO4 is blue in color. When iron nail is dipped in it, the blue color of solution gets changed to bluish green due to formation of FeSO4. Along with that golden-brown colored copper metal gets deposited at the bottom. Iron from nail gets oxidized to Fe2+ (as FeSO4) while Cu2+ (as CuSO4) is reduced to Cu metal. Reaction involved is CuSO4 (aq) + Fe (s) ------> Cu (s) + FeSO4 (aq). Regards
