If area of a square is equal to area of a rectangle whose length and breadth are 9 cm and 4 cm respectively, then find the perimeter of the square.

Given,
Length of rectangle = 9 cm and
Breadth of rectangle = 4 cm
We know,
Area of rectangle = length×breadth
= 9 x 4
= 36 cm2

Also, area of square = side2

According to the given condition,

side2=length × breadthside2=36side=36side=6 cm

Perimeter of a square = 4×side
= 4×6
= 24 cm

Therefore, perimeter of the square is 24 cm.
