$\therefore$ Profit $=25$ $\%$ of $x=\frac{x}{4}$
$\Rightarrow$ C.P. $=x-\frac{x}{4}=\frac{3x}{4}$
Profit per cent on C.P. $=(\frac{x}{4}÷\frac{3x}{4})\times 100$
$=\frac{x}{4}\times \frac{4}{3x}\times 100$

$=33\frac{1}{3}$ $\%$
