Question

if atmospheric molecules can exit in outer space from the exosphere
then why is outer space a vaccum

Open in App
Solution

Dear Student,

Space is relatively empty, but it is not a pure vacuum. There are scattered individual or pairs of molecules floating around out there, however, they are so few in number and mass that we call it a vacuum. In some parts of space there are massive clouds of gases and from those massive clouds new stars are forming.
