$b_1{b}_2=2(c_1+c_2)...\left(1\right)$

$x^2+b_{1}x+c_1=0$
$D_1=b_1^2-4c_1$

$x^2+b_{2}x+c_2=0$
$D_2=b_2^2-4c_2$

$D_1+D_2=b_1^2+b_2^2-4(c_1+c_2)=(b_1-b_2{)}^2\ge 0$

Atleast one of them $D_1,D_2$ is greater than or equal to zero.

Hence one of the quadratic must have real roots.
