x2+b1x+c1=0
D1=b214c1

x2+b2x+c2=0
D2=b224c2

D1+D2=b21+b224(c1+c2) =(b1b2)20

Atleast one of them D1,D2 is greater than or equal to zero.

Hence one of the quadratic must have real roots.
