If brown algae can grow upto60 metres , why do they come in the categoryf micro organisms?

Most of the algae are microscopic while there are some exceptions like some marine brown alga that can grow upto 60 metres. Thus, these are kept in microorganisms as most of the members of division algae are unicellular and microscopic.
