Solution

Given, selling price (S.P.) of 110 mangoes = Cost price (C.P.) of 120 mangoes
Let the C.P. of 1 mango beRs x
C.P. of 120 mangoes = Rs 120 x
S.P. of 110 mangoes = Rs 120 x
S.P. of 1 mango
=Rs 120x110=Rs1211x
Since, S.P of 1 mango > C.P. of 1 mango,
Gain on selling 1 mango = S.P. of 1 mango - C.P. of 1 mango
Gain on selling 1 mango
=Rs1112xRs x=Rs(12x11x11)=Rsx11
We know that,
Gain%=GainC.P.×100Gain%=Gain on selling 1mangoC.P.of 1mango×100%Gain%=Rsx11Rs x×100%Gain%=10011%9.09%(Approx)
Thus, the gain percent is 9.09% approximately.
