In a triad, the atomic mass of the central atom is nearly an average of the other two atoms. [1 mark]
In the triad Chlorine, Bromine, Iodine, the mass of Bromine is the average mass of Cl and I. [0.5 marks]

So, the atomic mass of Br = 35.5+1272=81.25[0.5 marks]
