If cold water is poured on a flask containing very hot distilled water and water vapor, the water inside the flask started to boil below 100oC this is because the pressure inside the flask decreases.

The pressure is directly proportional to the boiling point.

Pressure boiling point.

So if the pressure will decrease then a decrease in boiling point will also be seen.
